1-2 October 2025, The UM Affordable Diagnostics & Therapeutics (UMADT) team participated in the 14th Sarawak Research Day Conference (SRD2025), held under the theme:
“Innovate, Translate & Elevate: Advancing Clinical Research for a Healthy Future.”
The conference brought together researchers, clinicians, academicians, and allied health professionals to share insights, showcase innovations, and strengthen collaborations aimed at improving health outcomes.
Day 1 Highlights
The conference opened with engaging scientific sessions and knowledge-sharing discussions that set the tone for collaboration and innovation in healthcare research. Participants explored how translational research can bridge discovery and real-world clinical impact, supported by meaningful networking among regional and international stakeholders.
Day 2 & Conference Closing
The conference concluded on a high note with presentations from the UMADT and International Affordable Diagnostics & Therapeutics Alliance (IA-DATA) teams. These sessions highlighted ongoing efforts to advance affordable diagnostics, strengthen clinical research capacity, and foster regional and global collaboration in health innovation.

Their contributions underscored the importance of translating innovation into accessible, real-world solutions that benefit communities, particularly in resource-limited settings.
Continuing Momentum
Following the conference, a series of activities continued at Universiti Malaya, focusing on knowledge exchange and exploring practical opportunities for partnership and collaboration on the ground.
